Prerequisite: CS 3843 (formerly CS 3844), and CS 3723 or consent of instructor. An introduction to implementation of translators. Topics include formal grammars, scanners, parsing techniques, syntax-directed translation, symbol table management, code generation, and code optimization. (Formerly titled "Compiler Writing."). Generally offered: Spring. This course has Differential Tuition. Course Fees: IUCA $45; DL01 $75.
