Prerequisite: COU 5283 or Doctoral status. Comprehensive investigation of multicultural issues, theory, research, and practice relevant to the field of counseling. Cultural identification and exploration of one’s heritage and how it impacts the therapeutic process will be required. Emphasis on the development of advanced multicultural counseling competencies will be explored. Extensive cultural experiential field exercises will be required.
