Prerequisite: COU 5103 and COU 5213 . This course examines common drugs of abuse, process addictions, and the etiology, course, and progression of addictive disorders. Students learn to diagnose and conceptualize addiction from contextual, systemic, relational, and holistic perspectives. Reviews evidence-based and innovative approaches used in addiction treatment.
