This course is an overview of designs for Community-Based Research (CBR), such as Community-Based Participatory Research, Community-Engaged Research, Community-Based Action Research, and other approaches. A consideration of history and definitions, as well as analysis of purposes, process, and critical theoretical frameworks will be addressed. Students will engage in CBR strategies that situate conceptualizing, planning, and conducting a research study informed by, in partnership, and/or engaged with community.
