Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Certification Program. This course includes a Field Experience in a local public school. Study of curricular, instructional, and management methods in teaching Languages Other Than English (LOTE) in early childhood, elementary, middle, and secondary settings. Emphasis on developing instructional and curricular strategies that are effective in diverse teaching contexts. Course will address teaching special populations of students, the application of instructional technology and multimedia, and developing classroom culture and ecology.
