Prerequisite: Admission to the Teacher Certification Program. This course includes a field experience in local public schools. This course emphasizes student-centered curricula that meet the needs of diverse students in grades 4–8. Pre-service teachers examine models of teaching and learning to develop the knowledge, values, and experiential basis necessary for effective teaching. Students will demonstrate proficiency by creating lesson plans that specifically address the 4th-8th grade Social Studies standards and integrate other content, incorporate technology, and address diversity. This course is limited to students enrolled in the MACI+T program. Course Fee: GH01 $90; LRH1 $20.54; STSH $30.81.
