Prerequisite: Must be admitted to the Teacher Certification Program; concurrent enrollment in LDT 4083 and CI 3663 . This course examines the philosophy, methodology, and components of interdisciplinary service-learning. Service-learning is the engagement of students in critically conscious activities designed to address or meet a community need in collaboration with community members, community organizations, museums, and/or school districts. Students will connect service-learning experiences to interdisciplinary pedagogical and curricular knowledge. This course must be completed with a grade of "B-" or better. Generally offered: Spring.
