Prerequisite: A grade of "C-" or better in CHE 3643 . Introduction to the techniques of 1H, 13C, and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy for structure elucidation in organic chemistry. Topics include the principles of NMR spectroscopy and the role of chemical shift, coupling constants, and splitting patterns. Multi-pulse experiments and 2-dimensional techniques are also discussed.
