Catalog description

Prerequisite: A grade of "C-" or better in CHE 1113 , CHE 2214 , MAT 1223 (or MAT 1224 in previous catalogs), and PHY 1963 . Introduction to atomic and molecular quantum chemistry, group theory, and electronic, rotational, vibrational, and electronic spectroscopies. Mathematical methods and concepts related to quantum theory and molecular spectroscopy. (Formerly titled "Physical Chemistry II and Laboratory.") Generally offered: Spring. This course has Differential Tuition. Course Fee: IUC1 $15; L001 $30; DL01 $100.
