Catalog description

Prerequisite: Graduate standing, consent of the instructor and of the Graduate Advisor of Record and concurrent enrollment in BME 6143 . This project course will be offered to students performing well-defined engineering design projects, including the design and development of a biomedical device, program, and/or instrument. It can be used by non-thesis students as an alternative to the comprehensive examination. This course requires the final presentation of a prototype at the end of the semester and cannot be repeated for credit. The grade report for the course is either “CR” (satisfactory performance in Biomedical Project) or “NC” (unsatisfactory performance in Biomedical Project). This course has Differential Tuition.
