Catalog description

Prerequisite: A grade of "C-" or better in EGR 2302 and EGR 3423 (or equivalent), or consent from instructor. This course will introduce the fundamental principles of biophotonics and will focus on their applications to address critical issues in the frontier of biomedical science and technology. Topics may include fundamentals of geometric optics, physical optics, light interactions with molecules, cells, and tissues, optical imaging, optical biosensing, flow cytometry, and photoacoustic tomography. Generally offered: Fall. This course has Differential Tuition. Course Fee: DL01 $75.
