Prerequisite: BIO 1213, BIO 1223 , CHE 1103 , and CHE 1113 . This course will include a comprehensive overview of environmental toxicology, covering fundamental principles, toxicant behavior, and risk assessment. Topics include biological toxicity testing, environmental epidemiology, remediation methods, major pollutant classes, their mechanisms of toxicity, and their regulation, with a focus on assessing their effects in biological and environmental systems. Real-world applications are integrated to enhance critical analysis and practical understanding. (Same as ES 4183 . Credit cannot be earned for both ES 4183 and BIO 4183 .)
