Prerequisite: BIO 1203 , BIO 1223 , CHE 1103 , and CHE 1113 with a grade of "C-" or better; restricted to students who have completed 60 or more hours. Comparative study of vertebrate nutrition with a focus on mammalian and avian species. The course will cover nutritional requirements and sources, nutrient metabolism, digestive physiology, and clinical consequences of nutrient deficiency and excess.
