Prerequisite: ARTE 2313 , declared Art Education major, and advisor approval. This course examines curricular, instructional, and management methods for teaching art in elementary settings, with emphasis on child development and diverse learning contexts. Students develop age-appropriate instructional strategies, focusing on materials, techniques, and curriculum sequencing while integrating technology and multimedia approaches. Course content includes assessment design, teaching special populations, and fostering positive classroom culture. This course must be completed with a grade of “B-” or better for it to serve as a prerequisite for CI 4716 . Field experience required. Generally offered: Fall, Spring. Not offered in the Summer. Course Fees: DL01 $75; LRLF $10.27; SAF2 $150; STLF $18.48.
