Prerequisite: All Art Gateway courses: ART 1003 , ART 1013 , ART 1023 , and ART 1213 . This foundational course examines art education theories and practices within the context of our diverse society, exploring the relationship between schools, culture, and equity. Students analyze educational philosophies, learning theories, and the historical construction of schooling through lenses of ethnicity, gender, and class.
