Catalog description
This course takes an anthropological approach to the analysis of environmental conservation. The core readings focus on community-based projects that join actors across cultural and political divides. Students will engage critiques of conservationist ideology and practice in order to envision more effective ways to protect threatened environments and the rights of their human and nonhuman inhabitants. Course Fee: GL01 $90; STLF $18.48.
