Prerequisite: ANT 2033 , ANT 2043 , ANT 2053 , or ANT 2063 recommended. This course examines the history of anthropology as a distinct field, including considerations of historical figures, institutions, and relationships among subfields. Emphasis will be placed on changes in theoretical and methodological orientations as they emerge in specific historical contexts. May be repeated once with advisor’s approval when topic varies.
