Catalog description

Course content will cover current topics and future directions in MR Imaging: such as interventional MRI including surgery, biopsy and MR-guided minimally invasive treatment delivery. This includes a review of anatomy, pathology and imaging protocols for MRI. Content will include in-depth study of magnet safety, pharmacology, patient care and assessment that will include magnet-related emergencies in relation to MRI. MRI quality assurance as it relates specifically to MRI will be discussed. Prerequisite: DI 4361
