Catalog description

Course content introduces the student to the physics and instrumentation of MRI. The historical evolution of MRI is discussed. Students will be presented with the concepts of MRI including components of a system, MR imaging principles and an understanding of basic MR pulse sequences and introduction to MR angiography. Imaging parameters, tissue characteristics and artifact reduction techniques will be presented. Content includes an in-depth study of MRI safety. Course Fee: $50.00 Prerequisite: Admission to the MRI program
