Catalog description
A study of Greek history from the archaic period to the Hellenistic era (8th to 4th centuries BCE). Emphasis will be placed on archaic tyranny, the social and political institutions of Athens and Sparta, the rise of Macedonia, the diffusion of Greek culture throughout the Mediterranean, and the technological, economic, intellectual, and social advancements of the period more broadly.
