Criminal Profiling

Catalog description

The primary foci of this course are the principles and methods behind criminal and behavioral profiling. Analysis of crime scenes, geographic profiling, psychological tests, and suspect-based profiling demonstrate to students how to identify criminals' patterns of behavior, cognitive tendencies, emotional states, and demographic traits. Students will have a full picture of how profiling aids law enforcement in solving crimes and figuring out why criminals do what they do.
