Catalog description

A foundation class in basic photographic tools and techniques used for visual communication. The course examines methods for effective communication using photography and professional photo editing software. Student work is reviewed and critiqued as to composition, technique, and the ability to communicate the content of the original subject to the viewer. This course requires ownership of a digital camera with interchangeable lenses (such as a DSLR or mirrorless camera). This course may also include 35 mm format photography with black-and-white darkroom techniques.
