This dynamic, interprofessional, community engaged learning (CEL) course is designed for dental students to collaborate with medical and senior nursing students in a community based global health setting. Through a blend of immersive experiences and targeted clinical instruction, the course develops essential competencies in leadership, civic engagement, clinic management, patient triage and referrals, and preventive outreach strategies. Its overarching aim is to strengthen local global health among emerging health professionals through meaningful experiential learning within a collaborative interprofessional environment. Participants will critically evaluate their healthcare team's approach to patient care, building on the foundational principles introduced in SELC 7114 , which is an essential prerequisite. Additionally, the emphasis on partnering with local organizations to advance the health of vulnerable communities further reinforces the courses commitment to community based global health collaboration and impact.
