Catalog description

This course provides senior dental students with comprehensive information regarding fundamental principles of implant therapy. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based concepts including but not limited to patient selection, diagnostic clinical and radiographic assessment, and restoratively driven implant treatment planning. Additional topics include the role of provisional restorations in implant healing, an overview of implant restorative options from single units to full-arch prostheses, recognition of biological and prosthetic complications, and principles of long-term maintenance and prognosis. Successful completion of DS3 year required.
