This course is an expansion of the foundation presented in the junior year. Surgical treatment planning, rationale, techniques, and wound healing are emphasized. A three-hour surgical laboratory exercise is included. Periodontal interrelationships with prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics are examined in case presentation formats with student participation.
