This course will allow occupational therapy doctoral students who enroll in this elective at UT Health San Antonio to be the first in the nation to attain a BASIC Certificate in the DIR Model through Profectum and it will afford them the opportunity to gain exposure to a network of clinicians, around the world, who endeavor to engage in continuous professional growth, creativity and advancement of the field of assessment and intervention. DIR, also commonly known as Floortime, is a truly integrative assessment and intervention approach which will enhance participating OTD students clinical capacities for supporting children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental and mental health challenges. Course fees: $300 Prerequisites: OCCT 7008 .
