In this course, students focus on advanced pathophysiological processes across the lifespan, incorporating use of clinical reasoning skills to distinguish alterations across multiple physiological systems. Prerequisites: Graduate Standing. Open for Cross Enrollment on Space Available Basis.,This graduate-level course explores complex pathophysiological processes across the lifespan, emphasizing the integration of advanced scientific knowledge to support clinical reasoning, advocacy, and evidence-informed decision-making in nursing practice. Students will examine the etiology, pathogenesis, and clinical manifestations of major health conditions, with attention to developmental, genetic, and environmental influences. Students will enhance their ability to interpret diagnostic findings and advocate for quality care grounded in pathophysiological understanding. Students will develop competencies to support interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, and systems-level thinking.
