Catalog description

This graduate-level didactic course builds upon foundational health assessment knowledge to develop advanced cognitive and affective competencies in comprehensive patient evaluation. Students will explore theoretical frameworks and evidence-based approaches to collecting and synthesizing health data across the lifespan, including physical, psychosocial, cultural, and environmental factors. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, ethical decision-making, and person-centered communication strategies that support accurate data interpretation and advocacy. Prerequisites: NURS 5338 and NURS 5354 Corequisites: NURS 5102 .
