Catalog description

This advanced graduate level course trains students to bridge human genetic discovery and mechanistic modeling using CRISPR based genome engineering and human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) systems. The course is structured around critical analysis of recent high impact studies spanning genome wide association studies (GWAS), multi-omics, and functional validation in human cellular models. Through in depth discussion of landmark publications, students will learn how genetic signals are translated into experimentally testable mechanisms in human systems. Open for Cross Enrollment on Space Available Basis.
