Catalog description
This longitudinal practicum integrates business and clinical perspectives to prepare future physician leaders to navigate and improve complex healthcare systems. Through a series of seminars on innovation, strategy, leadership, and value based care, students will engage with faculty to explore real world organizational challenges. Working in teams, students will apply MBA principles in a capstone project that bridges clinical insight with business application to generate actionable solutions for health system improvement. Project mentorship will come from course co directors as well as guest lecturers and other experts on campus. Enrollment in the MD/MBA dual degree program and completion of the one-year didactic coursework through the Alvarez College of Business is required.
