Catalog description

This course provides fourth-year dental students with comprehensive clinical experiences across diverse practice settings, including pediatric dentistry (PEDO) clinics in Laredo and Salinas, the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic (SACDC), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in Seguin and Luling, South Texas outreach sites and Dental Service Organizations. Students will also gain exposure to practice management and patient care in a Dental Support Organizations. Emphasis is placed on applying advanced clinical skills, cultural competency, and interprofessional collaboration to meet the needs of underserved and diverse populations. These rotations aim to enhance students clinical proficiency and prepare them for professional practice in various healthcare settings.
