Catalog description

This course examines the humanistic aspects of anatomy education and research, including history, ethics, law, and art. Students will critically explore the moral and ethical foundations of anatomical study from early dissection practices to contemporary body donation programs. Topics include respect for body donors, informed consent, commercialization and commodification of human remains, ethics of fetal remains, and artistic portrayals of the human body.
