Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students in the Cell Systems & Anatomy Masters Degree Program, Anatomical Sciences Track with a full-body dissection experience. This course teaches foundational hands-on application of anatomical concepts and three-dimensional relationships while allowing students to develop their necessary dissection skills through whole-body dissection. Students will gain teaching experience through presentations of anatomical structures and explanations of the procedural aspects of the dissections they complete. This course will enhance competency in anatomy and prepare students for serving as teaching assistants in other medical, dental, and health professions courses. Attributes of humanism and professionalism, including compassion and empathy, are integrated into the course along with those of knowledge and skill. Students must be concurrently enrolled in CSAT 5022 Interprofessional Human Gross Anatomy and must be officially enrolled in the Master's Degree Program, Anatomical Sciences Track, Department of Cell Systems & Anatomy. Course fees: Cadaver fee = $1069.64, Lab fee = $30.00, Tech Fee = $50.00.
