Catalog description
The goal of the course is to provide students with experience in listening to cutting edge research presentations in the form of seminars delivered across campus, and providing critical analysis of the content, exposure to various career opportunities through guest speakers, and; formal presentation of ongoing research progress or papers from the literature. Seminars are attended when scheduled, with critical write ups of 10 by the end of the semester. The course meets as scheduled for guest presentations on career opportunities interspersed with student presentations from all second-year students on their research projects and first year students of journal articles by selected from the student's area of research interest, but also of relevance to the whole class.
