Data-Driven Second Analysis

Catalog description

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the data-driven secondary analysis approach to research using extant (already collected/publicly available) datasets, methodological affordances and fundamental protocols. Emphasis is on how to best identify, obtain, and evaluate existing datasets. Students will gain skill in recognizing limitations in existing data, how to search data and refine research questions; managing and analyzing data; and interpreting/reporting results.
