This course provides a comprehensive overview of case study research methodology, applied as a mode of systematic observational inquiry to increase holistic understanding within a natural context of educational practice. Emphasis is on theoretical foundations and the affordances of using case study research designs, as well as protocols for implementing effective case studies. Students will gain skills in identifying case study questions, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting/reporting results.
