Catalog description

This course explores theories, research and best practices in leading teacher professional development. It covers the continuum of professional learning, including (but not limited to) teacher learning and identities, conceptions of teachers and teaching, and the social contexts that shape teacher learning, with particular attention to teacher development in and for culturally and linguistically diverse contexts. Students will examine teacher learning in educational change efforts, and methods for related applied research inquiry.
