Catalog description

The understanding of communication enhances an individual's interpersonal relationships, educational attainment, employment prospects, and quality of life by instilling empathy for individual variation, social and personal responsibility, and building critical thinking skills. This course is an introduction to human communication variation across the lifespan and across cultures. Multicultural aspects of communication are highlighted as well as contemporary/ethical issues of communication and professional pathway options.
