Classical Theory (3-0) An examination of major social theories from the early modern era to the present. The course has four objectives (1) identifying connections between philosophical traditions and social theory; (2) estabishing the basic assumptions and arguments of major social theories; (3) examining the linkages between social theories, social policies, and social practices.
