Catalog description

This course is designed to provide the student with an understanding of the disorders of speech and language. Speech disorders with a neuromuscular basis, in children and adults to include motor-based articulation disorders, dysarthrias and acquired apraxia of speech is included. Additionally, study of the etiology, symptomatology, diagnosis, treatment of aphasia and related neurogenic disorders. Evaluation and treatment techniques will be discussed.
