PUBH 5321 : Responding to Chronic and Infectious Diseases in Hispanic and Border Communities. Introduction to basic principles of chronic and infectious disease prevention and control. Emphasis on diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, asthma, cancer, HIV/AIDS, and TB. Critical analysis of the magnitude, distribution, risk factors, and public health significance of selected chronic and infectious diseases in community and institutional settings.
