Catalog description
Advanced study of the most current information related to neurochemical and neuropsychological mechanisms by which the nervous system controls behavior. Topics will vary but may include examination of normal behaviors such as eating, water balance, sleep, learning, and memory or abnormal behaviors such as mental disorders and drug addiction. Emphasis will be placed on the study and evaluation of current theories of neurochemical mechanisms and neuroanatomical substrates for the behaviors. Prerequisite: Department approval.
