Catalog description

This course teaches students to write for publication or to obtain funding by guiding them through the completion of at least one professional-level manuscript or research proposal. Depending on the particular semester, students may develop a manuscript for journal submission; a thesis or dissertation proposal/document; or a proposal for research or research training. Students are required to write daily, submit work weekly for instructor and peer review, participate in review of other's work, and complete reading assignments. Potential students must meet with the instructor before enrolling to discuss their writing topic.
