Neuroanatomy

Catalog description

The goal of this course is to introduce students to the anatomical and functional organization of the human nervous system. A major objective of this class is to familiarize students with the structures and pathways that give rise to functional systems. By the end of the semester, students will be able to identify brain structures, group and classify structures based on location and function, and be able to discuss major pathways and the specific type of information that travels these pathways. The course will focus on content from the assigned textbook, assigned sources, hands-on experience with sheep brain specimens, and content introduced during lecture discussion.
