Catalog description

The course will cover in-depth the underlying brain networks that are implicated across domains of cognitive functioning including: Language, Memory, Leaming, Cognitive control processes. Students will gain a sophisticated understanding of the interconnected and overlapping networks of neuronal activity and structure that underlie cognitive processing. The course will also describe methods of neuroscience including EEG, functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Tensor Imaging. Students will learn the basics of how these different methods work, their strengths and limitations. Students will have the opportunity to examine in depth the neurocognitive underpinnings of psychological/ cognitive disorder or disability of their choosing.
