Catalog description

This course builds upon OT 6212 , advancing students’ functional Spanish skills for use in occupational therapy practice through direct engagement in the community. Students will alternate weekly between classroom-based instruction and experiential learning in real-world settings such as senior centers, community wellness programs, and rehabilitation sites. Emphasis is placed on communication, rapport building, and culturally responsive interactions Spanish-speaking clients, focusing on supporting participation in activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional independence.
