Catalog description

Global Operations and Supply Chain Management (3-0) This course is designed to present and discuss concepts, issues, and problems critical to global operations, with some emphasis on those that pertain to the operation and improvement of global supply chains. Innovations in global operations management and technology, as well as the opportunities and challenges posed by such innovations, will be investigated. Coverage will include successful approaches in the areas of product design, quality management, and project management, among others, that have led to dramatic improvements in global business performance. Important recent developments and approaches for the effective operation of global supply chains will be identified and discussed. Restricted to majors: GENB and OSCM. Prerequisites: OSCM 5308 , QMB 5311 , MKT 5311 and CIS 5311 or equivalents each with a grade of "C" or better.
