AG Adv Clinical Practicum II

Catalog description

This practicum provides Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) students with intensive, supervised clinical experiences in high-acuity and critical care environments. Building on skills from Practicum I, students will manage patients with complex, multisystem disorders, including those requiring advanced interventions and end-of-lifecare. Board exam review and preparation provided within this course. 180 in-person clinical practicum hours done with an approved preceptor emphasizes mastery of diagnostic reasoning, procedural competence, and leadership in interdisciplinary teams. Students will demonstrate readiness for independent practice through comprehensive patient management, prioritization of care, and integration of ethical and cultural considerations in decision-making.
