Pediatric Acute Care II Advanced Practicum (0-0-9) This graduate level nursing course is the fifth is a series of six practicum courses for those preparing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care. With the guidance of a preceptor, students learn to manage and formulate a plan of care for more complex, critically ill pediatric patients with emphasis on acute and chronic illnesses within the context of family, environment and culture. A minimum of 90 hours of supervised, direct patient care are required to demonstrate competency.
