Catalog description

This advanced didactic/simulation lab course builds upon Acute and Critical Illness I, focusing on the management of complex, multisystem disorders in acutely and critically ill adult and older adult populations. Students will explore advanced diagnostic reasoning and evidence-based intervention for acutely ill patients. This course emphasizes integration of advanced pharmacology, diagnostic interpretation, and ethical considerations in high-acuity care. Students will apply clinical guidelines, analyze case studies, and develop comprehensive management plans for patients with severe and unstable conditions as well as trauma/crisis management for the AGACNP.
